Helps participants and their guardians become comfortable in an aquatic environment. This class introduces foundational water skills through self-guided practice, using songs, toys, and games to engage children. Together, you’ll explore movements on the front and back, practice changing positions, submerging, and safely entering and exiting the pool. At least one guardian must accompany the child in the water throughout the course.

By the end of the session, participants will aim to achieve the following skills:

• Perform the Face-to-face, back-to-chest, side-to-side positions.
• Demonstrate confidence in the water without being held.
• Demonstrate floating on front and back with assistance.
• Submerge under water with assistance.
• Enter and exit the pool with assistance.

This class requires at least 75% enrollment to run at the current fee. If less than 3 participants are enrolled, the class may be canceled or converted.
