This class offers an introductory lesson into the sport of water polo. Participant will learn the basics of water polo including eggbeater, passing, shooting, and rules. This course is held in a depth of 7-12 feet of water. No previous water polo experience needed.

PLEASE NOTE: This class is held in 7-12 feet of water. Participants must be able to swim 50 yards (2 lengths) of a competition pool comfortably with rotary breathing. Participants should also be knowledgeable in the Back and Breast strokes.

Participants should expect to learn:

-Water polo skills, rules, and drills.

-Ball handling techniques and fundamentals.

-Treading water (the eggbeater).

-Competitive sportsmanship and teamwork.

-Water polo style swimming and endurance.
