Open to 4th and 5th graders only. The Conejo Recreation & Park District operates the Elementary Band Program on Conejo Valley Unified Schools campuses. The Band Program is held in two separate semesters for the entire school year. Classes are held in-person on campus before or after school. Students who are registered in band in both the Fall and Spring semesters will be eligible to participate in the All-District Band Festival at the Thousand Oaks Bank of America Performing Arts Center in the Spring 2027. They need both permanent front teeth and to be able to reach all holes on the clarinet to pick that instrument.

Third graders may only choose clarinet or percussion only. They need both permanent front teeth and to be able to reach all holes on the clarinet to pick that instrument.

CVUSD and MATES Elementary Chorus Programs are presented at Conejo Valley Unified School District Elementary Schools and presented by the Conejo Recreation & Park District. The Elementary Chorus Program is held in two semesters and runs for the entire year. This program is designed to help students find their inner voice of music. Making music involves complex, higher order neural processes that integrate aural, spatial, logical, linguistic, kinesthetic, and emotional connections and this program is a pathway for each student to discover an appreciation for music. Children who love to sing have a voice to be heard and nurtured, and we will be working creatively to help bring out the very best in our young singers in this unique time. Our goal is to provide an encouraging and uplifting virtual music program that can nurture friendships and continue to develop personal growth through music. Payment Plan option available - $37.50 due at registration, then $37.50 will be charged to your saved credit card on Oct 1, Nov 1, and Dec 1.
